As a sole trader operating in NSW, this Code of Conduct outlines the standards of behaviour
expected to ensure child safety and wellbeing.

Purpose
The purpose of this Code of Conduct is to establish clear expectations for appropriate
behaviour when interacting with children and young people in an online tutoring context. It
supports the NSW Child Safe Standards and promotes a culture of safety and accountability.

Scope
This Code applies to the sole trader tutor operating LawLitBiz Tutoring and governs all
interactions with children and young people during online tutoring sessions.

  • Ensure tutoring sessions are conducted in safe, supervised online environments.
  • Encourage children to speak up about any concerns.

Unacceptable Behaviours

  • Engaging in any form of abuse, harassment, or discrimination.
  • Communicating with children outside of scheduled tutoring sessions.
  • Sharing personal contact details or social media connections.
  • Using inappropriate or offensive language.
  • Failing to report concerns or breaches of this Code.

Online Safety Practices

  • Use secure, password-protected platforms for tutoring sessions.
  • Ensure sessions are scheduled and supervised by parents or guardians.
  • Do not record sessions without explicit parental consent.
  • Maintain confidentiality and data protection standards.

Reporting and Responding to Concerns
Any concerns about child safety or breaches of this Code must be reported immediately to
the appropriate authorities. The tutor must follow mandatory reporting obligations under
NSW law and cooperate fully with investigations.

Review and Updates
This Code of Conduct will be reviewed annually or as required to ensure alignment with
current child safety standards and legal requirements.
