This policy applies to all tutoring sessions, university/postgraduate support, teacher PD (live) and pre-recorded seminar subscriptions. Your rights under the Australian Consumer Law (ACL) apply in addition to the terms below.
1. Rescheduling
- Client reschedule: Please provide at least 24 hours’ notice to reschedule without charge.
- Less than 24 hours’ notice may be treated as a late cancellation (see below).
- If we need to reschedule, we’ll offer the earliest available alternative.
2. Cancellations & no-shows
- ≥ 24 hours’ notice: full refund or credit to your account (your choice).
- < 24 hours’ notice or no-show: session fee is forfeited.
- Packages: late-cancelled sessions are deducted from the package balance.
3. Teacher PD (live seminars/workshops)
- You may substitute an attendee by written notice prior to the event.
- If we cancel an event, you may choose a refund or transfer to a future date.
- Venue or date changes with reasonable notice do not trigger refunds unless you cannot attend and decline alternatives.
4. Pre-recorded seminar subscriptions
- Access is granted upon purchase/activation. Non-refundable once access is provided, except as required by the ACL (e.g., major failure).
- Licences are for the purchasing teacher/school only; sharing or redistribution is not permitted.
5. Refunds under the Australian Consumer Law
You are entitled to a remedy for failures meeting consumer guarantees. Where a failure is major, you may choose a refund. For non-major failures, we will re-supply the service within a reasonable time or provide another appropriate remedy. This policy does not exclude your statutory rights.
6. How to request a refund or reschedule
Email info@lawlitbiztutoring.com with:
- Your name and contact details
- Booking reference/date and service type
- Reason for your request and any supporting information
We’ll respond within a reasonable time (usually 2–5 business days).
7. Processing refunds
Approved refunds are processed to the original payment method. Timing may depend on your bank or payment provider.
8. Force majeure
Where sessions/events are disrupted by events beyond our reasonable control (e.g., illness, outages, government restrictions), we will offer rescheduling, credit or refund where appropriate.
