By accessing or using this Website, booking services, or purchasing any products, you agree to these Terms & Conditions (“Terms”). If you do not agree, please do not use our Website or services.
1. About Our Services
We provide academic tutoring and professional development (PD) services across:
- Secondary (Years 7–12): English Literature (Stages 4–6), Legal tuition to Stage 5 (Commerce), Legal Studies to Stage 6, Business Studies to Stage 6.
(Stage 4 = Years 7–8; Stage 5 = Years 9–10; Stage 6 = Years 11–12.) - Tertiary: Business Law, Corporations Law, Torts, Contracts, Equity, International Trade Law, Sports Law and Dispute Resolution for Bachelor of Business and Bachelor of Laws students; guidance on structuring and writing Honours and Masters theses for postgraduate Law students; support for Bachelor and Masters of Education students in Legal and/or Business Studies.
- Teachers & Schools: Guidance for delivering Stage 6 Legal and Business Studies; PD seminars (in-school or one-to-one); and subscription access to pre-recorded seminar series.
Services may be delivered online or in person (where available).
2. No Legal Advice
All services and materials are educational. We do not provide legal advice, legal representation, or any service constituting legal practice. Nothing on this Website or provided in sessions should be relied upon as legal advice. If you need legal advice, consult a qualified legal practitioner.
3. Eligibility & Responsibility for Minors
- If you are under 18, a parent/guardian must provide consent, manage bookings and payments, and ensure appropriate supervision where relevant.
- You warrant that information you provide is accurate and that you have authority to engage our services.
4. Bookings, Sessions & Packages
- Bookings are confirmed once payment (or deposit, if applicable) is received and you receive our confirmation.
- Session lengths, inclusions and delivery method (online/in person) are specified at booking.
- We may reschedule due to unforeseen circumstances; we will give reasonable notice and offer alternative times.
5. Fees, Payment & Invoices
- Fees are in AUD and inclusive/exclusive of GST as stated at checkout or on the invoice.
- Payment is due at booking unless agreed otherwise in writing.
- Late payment may result in paused services and/or administrative charges.
6. Rescheduling, Cancellations & Refunds
- Client reschedule: Please give at least 24 hours’ notice to reschedule without charge.
- Client cancellation:
- ≥24 hours’ notice: full refund or credit.
- <24 hours or no-show: session fee is forfeited.
- Our cancellation/reschedule: You may choose a rescheduled session or a refund/credit for the affected session.
- PD/seminars (live): Substitute attendees are permitted by prior written notice.
- Pre-recorded subscriptions: Non-refundable once access is granted, except as required by the Australian Consumer Law.
Your statutory rights under the Australian Consumer Law (ACL) apply and are not excluded.
7. Academic Integrity & Assessment Support
- We do not write, edit or complete assignments, theses or assessments on your behalf.
- We provide guidance on structure, research approach, argument development and referencing; the work must be your own.
- You must comply with your school/university policies. We are not responsible for academic penalties arising from misconduct.
8. No Guarantee of Results
We do not guarantee particular grades, admissions outcomes, awards or employment. Outcomes depend on individual effort and circumstances.
9. Professional Development (PD) for Teachers
- Unless expressly stated, PD/seminars are not accredited by any external body.
- Certificates of completion/attendance may be provided where applicable.
- Licensing for pre-recorded content: access is granted to the purchasing school/teacher only, for the subscription term. Do not copy, share, rebroadcast or post content outside your organisation without prior written permission.
10. Intellectual Property
All Website content, session materials, slides, recordings, worksheets, templates and pre-recorded seminars are our intellectual property or used under licence. We grant you a limited, non-transferable licence to use materials for personal study or internal school use only. You must not reproduce, distribute, adapt, sell or publish any materials without our prior written consent.
11. Recordings
- We generally do not record one-to-one tutoring sessions. If a recording is proposed (e.g., for an online PD), we will notify attendees and obtain consent where required.
- Where recordings are provided, they are for the licensed viewer(s) only and subject to Clause 10.
12. Technology, Access & Conduct
- You are responsible for your device, internet connection and a suitable learning environment.
- We may refuse or terminate a session without refund in cases of abusive, discriminatory or inappropriate behaviour.
- Do not attempt to interfere with the Website’s operation, security or integrity.
13. Website Use & Content
- Information on the Website is provided in good faith but may not be complete, current or tailored to your situation.
- External links are provided for convenience; we are not responsible for their content.
- You must not use the Website for unlawful or unauthorised purposes.
14. Privacy & Confidentiality
- We handle personal information in accordance with our Privacy Policy (see: [link to Privacy Policy]).
- We will keep your information confidential except where disclosure is required by law or to provide the services (e.g., payment processors, IT providers) under appropriate safeguards.
15. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we exclude all warranties, representations and conditions not expressly stated in these Terms. Our liability for breach of a consumer guarantee under the ACL is limited, at our option, to re-supply of services or the cost of re-supply. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential loss, loss of opportunity, loss of data or loss of profits.
16. Indemnity
You indemnify us and our personnel against claims, losses, liabilities, costs and expenses arising from your breach of these Terms, unlawful conduct or misuse of the Website or materials.
17. Changes to Services & Terms
We may update services, pricing or these Terms at any time. Changes take effect when posted on the Website. Your continued use constitutes acceptance.
18. Suspension or Termination
We may suspend or terminate access to the Website or services if you breach these Terms, act unlawfully or act in a manner likely to harm us, other users or the integrity of the services.
19. Force Majeure
We are not responsible for delay or failure caused by events beyond our reasonable control (e.g., outages, illness, government restrictions).
20. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia, and you submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of NSW and the Commonwealth of Australia.
